Anthony John Clarke

Anthony John Clarke is a Northern Irish born singer-songwriter, for some time based in Liverpool but now living in Southport. Playing solo, duo or with a band, Clarke has played at folk clubs and festivals all over the UK and beyond, and he has a number of albums to his name including An Acquaintance Of Mine, Man With A Red Guitar and Sing A Chorus With Me).

Amongst his best known songs are "The Broken Years" (about The Troubles), "The Only Life Gloria Knows" (about homelessness), and "Tuesday Night Is Always Karaoke". Many of his songs can be found in the book "The Songs of Anthony John Clarke".

Jon Buckeridge is our headline act 

on 8th June 

Jon is an outstanding, theatrical storyteller and a classically trained actor with piercing eyes, malleable physicality and electric stage energy. He has a broad experience of stage and screen performance, as well as establishing himself as a vocal performer, singer, multi-instrumentalist and performance combat specialist.

Alongside his work as a performer, workshop-leader, and performance combat instructor, Jon established Parable Arts in 2014. The company specialises in small-scale storytelling productions; bringing hidden and half-remembered stories to light and providing them a platform to shine.     https://parablearts.co.uk 

13th July is Open Mic night

On 14th September, we're welcoming BarlowCree

BarlowCree – or BC – is the musical face of multi-instrumentalist Liam Millinship and vocalist Jonny Matthew. BC is a South Wales based folk-acoustic duo performing original material and adaptations of traditional and contemporary folk songs.

Jonny has a splendid rock voice with a breath-taking range & Liam is inspiring on acoustic guitars…BC has attitude by the shedfull  FolkWales

The headline act on 12th October is 

The Bard of Windmill Hill

The Bard of Windmill Hill is an award winning poet, storyteller, satirist, lyricist, workshop facilitator, speaker and the creator of Word Wizards Cabarets.

In 2018 he received a Best Show Award from Shaftesbury Fringe Festival.

On 9th November our headliner is

 Anna Ryder

Anna Ryder is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She has performed mainly on the folk scene playing all kinds of venues from small clubs to large festivals. She’s made five albums including ‘Pockets On Fire’ which was released on the Fairport Convention label ‘Woodworm’ with Fairport playing on eight of the tracks.


More recently Anna has been developing her career as a project-musician facilitating creativity for people in unusual settings, building sound/visual environments and making outdoor instruments.
